Re: Nehalem, Jan 31-Feb 2, 2014
I've been called to jury duty on the 29th. Hopefully my number wont be called and I can get out of here early on Friday. Who's getting the oysters this year? I missed them last year.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

Ah, most likely you won't get called. From what I recall, a Friday grab on the oysters is best as they get their delivery of fresh that day .... or at least they used to ... store in Manzanita anyway. I'll try and call them between now and then and see what the deal is.

Re: Nehalem, Jan 31-Feb 2, 2014
Hello all,
I have not fallen off the face of the earth, I've just been very busy between work and taking care of my father/ husbandry duties. I shall be joining in on the festivities for the Un-Super Bowl weekend. I will also have (2) home brews for the Saturday afternoon beer tasting. The IPA I brewed yesterday should have enough time to carbonate but will not be finished conditioning. I plan on arriving Friday afternoon and staying in B loop. See you all soon.

Like Hal, this could come down to a last minute decision for me. I will have just gotten home from an out-of-state work conference, so we will see how things pan out. I'll try my best.

Well, we didn't get a yurt reserved, so it will depend on whether or not I get Bertha Bus put back together before then.

Just so you guys know, the new, semi-official name for the Big Game that you're avoiding is.....

Re: Nehalem, Jan 31-Feb 2, 2014
Definitely coming but not reserving a spot at this point. I'm trying to talk a friend into driving his bus down so that my extra passenger (I'll have 3 total) from England has a place to sleep.
Does anyone have a nice tent that sleeps two people comfortably but is super easy to pack and set up? I'd love to borrow it as a back up plan if that would be OK. Ping me at travelchick64 (at) hotmail (dot) com. I'm coming down on Friday and leaving early on Sunday.
I'd love to kick in for beer and any other group food/drink thing going on. Let me know how much and who gets it. :)
See you soon!

Re: Nehalem, Jan 31-Feb 2, 2014
Best throw this out here now.
Looking to second vehicle on someone else's campsite. Under assumption I will be breaking in an engine with traffic frustrating inconsistency of speed en route to Nehalem. I'm pretty confident of making it at this point, despite the dismantled shift linkage assembly and the transmission on the floor still wanting oil.
