hey, did you ever buy the 79? Did you give away the cupholders? I have one that is why I am asking. Mine is stock so it is always nice to have a stock person to talk to.

I think Covelo opted for the "enhanced" version of the '79 Beetle (Porsche Boxster). Looks like you and me are the only IAC folks with the "lesser" stock model. It will be nice to have someone to commiserate with.
