I've only been getting up to speed on T3 history since I started on this project, so I'm far shy of being an expert. For years '64-'65, lots of people are familiar with the "N" and "S" models. The "N" model was more basic than the "S" (sport/deluxe) model in many ways, but to some it is now more prized, because this option is far rarer.Bleyseng wrote:What was the "E" for? I had a early 64 1500 S SB, loved that car..
But "E" was the "Economy" version of the "S" model - with a single side-draft carb - and I'm not sure if any actually still exist. I'm not sure if this is the case, but I've always thought of it as the Holy Grail of Type 3 ownership.
BTW: in the next couple of weekends, I'm gong to be pulling the suspension apart again to level it out better. Hoo boy. But that's the nice thing about T3s: you can dial it in with the stock setup. Mine needs to come down a tad and get levelled in front and come up in the rear.
