Bob Costa, a great guy who was passionate about VW's passed away on Saturday. If you don't know him he had a shop in Eagle Rock that was packed full of VW parts for almost every make. He would always be happy to help you and dig through his piles of parts to find an odd bolt or switch. Half the time he wouldn't even charge you for it. Always full of great advice too. His Wife Linda is a very sweet woman. I never had the pleasure of meeting his son.

I never ordered anything from him, but if you are online in this hobby for any time you will run accross his name. I sure hope his business carries on.Sluggo wrote:Regalasr just pointed me to this thread on the Samba.

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Oddly enough, he didn't start selling online line till about a year ago. He was going to close down the shop and do everything online. But when it came down to it, he wanted to be in the shop. He was around a long time before the internet and didn't really need it.Sylvester wrote:I never ordered anything from him, but if you are online in this hobby for any time you will run accross his name. I hope the shop stays open. His yard is packed full of all kinds of VWs. The only Vanagon Pick-Up I've ever seen was there and I believe it is his.
