Hey Colin.. would you mind if we posted goals for your visits somewhere... realizing that you have final say on what can and NEEDS to be done. But that might provide a way for us to stay organized, motivated, and inspirational to others who've never had the "Colin" experience. Plus I'm curious to see what other folks have planned for their visits and what kinds of possibilities are out there.

Sure. Remember to PM me with your goals too :flower:

I will ask for people to recount their day as well. The last two years I was diffident about post-visit write-ups with all that cynicism that directed at you Kool-Aid drinking groupies, but with change in the air (like no more GWB and actual intelligent debates on the part of Clinton and Obama), I'd like to develop some fresh references.

Would like to get you for at least 1/2 day this time. I have to go to Chicago for my girl's HS graduation just before Deschutes so we'll see what happens after things jell with your schedule.

I for one would love a visit here in Northern Michigan!

I only wish I would have known about your travels when I actually saw the blue wonder in town, I could have had you visit me!

Do your travels take you through Western PA? Round abouts Pittsburgh? I may actually have a 'running' bus come July or August. That would fulfill the "valve adjust, vehicle runs/stops, take a 'road/driving' test" portion of the visit. Otherwise, are you working on your 2009 Itinerary yet?

I will be in western Pennsylvania on my way to the northeast. Talk to your bus and see what you all want to do. "Running" to Running Road Warrior sounds goooood.

Are you passing through St Louis? Between Texas and Chicago? If I finally get the bus assembled and I'm in town then it might work. If not maybe we can at least meet up for some chow if you are passing through. (My treat)

Is your ETA in Northern Cal end of June early July timeframe? You didn't mention the local of the wedding and that'll obviously be a don't miss date.
Thanks,
Mike

Though we'll have a four-month old in the apartment by then, I'm going to do my best to get you here.

Yes I am. Saint Louis is where my friend-who-surprised-me-half-to-death-at-my-dad's-funeral harkens from. And I do plan on stopping by. . .
Git yer bus assembled :cyclopsani: so I can drive it :compress:

DAMMIT! I uh I meant to say "longitudinal center yet a tad south latitudinously-like" middle of the country. My fingers just slipped off a key, that's all, happens. . .

I'll put you in, ya bum, you sponge, ya tax-payer draining ward of the state, you learned dependence dead-weight ya Dorito-munching CherryCoke-swilling daytime TV hound, you dull-eyed unambitious bovine staring dumbly at classifieds in yer bathrobe, ya bristle-faced bedhead.
