Someone on the samba baywindow forums was making that. I think that was the prototype. Someone pointed out something that would not work with the design but I can't remember what it was.

A semi - hijack. I was crawling under my 79 and noticed that the oil temp sender was mounted in the oil strainer cover not the inspection plate. Was this common and / or ok? I thought about swapping it out with my 73 that I am rebuilding...

Never seen that done before...not sure which placement is better for picking up temps. I guess either would work just fine.....if it ain't broke.....

I think he's implying that it affects his yankee sensibilities to the point where it may be a little "showey". ...or not.

Sorry, I have kind of busy at some other things lately, and just sort of come and go lately.
To me "uptown" means something really well thought out and made with some thought to manufacturing quality.
I am not sure what whip618 does for a living, but he is certainly a fine machinist.
