I jumped like a starving rat on this one,

a) "uhhh, no? we don't got that one."

b) "Napaautopartsthisisjimholdon ..................................................................................................................."

c) "That isn't how it works. Just because it is listed doesn't mean anyone has it."

Yes, NAPA has gone way downhill since I first did business with them in 1965. Back then, they were great. They published a monthly humor magazine on the front store counter, that was free. It was called, Parts Pup, and had jokes, cartoons, and pinups throughout. I still have some copies somewhere. Our Miami branch had a full service machine shop that did just about everything. I had an MGA crank turned there, and the machinist took me back and showed me what he was doing, and why. That was when men were men, and damn the insurance regulations, come on back, kid!

Let's remember, it isn't really "the insurance regulations". That is the lie.

There are still some good souls who say "come on back."
Some good souls say, "let me show you what I am doing."

The seedier types jump on the "insurance regulations prohibit . . . " to prevent light from reaching their nefarious dark dens of duplicity. The last time someone gave me that line, I said, "I'll sign a waiver and release of liability, I have one here in my pocket." Then, their next sentence tells you all you need to know.
a) "Oh, I wish, but I can't honor that."
b) "Aw forget about that, comeer."
c) " Get the f**k out of here, you're beginning to pi$$ me off."

a) good enough
b) good enough
c) bingo!
