In one sense, the time has gone by very quickly.

Yet, after this winter, anything that shows signs of life seems like years ago

This seems like it escaped from my brain eons ago.

I'm sure most of it will come back though! :flower:

Can you SEE the horrible paint-matching on the left front of the BobD in your picture? That greenishness? I scratched that green off with my fingernails over the past five months
Image
(until I hit the repair area where the primer was too grippy so I had to finish removing all that green/ grey primer with GumOut).

Just repainted the left front five days ago in Casa Grande, AZ with my own paint-matching using a little Rustoleum black, some L90D white, some yellow, a shot of red, and the lousy spray paint from NAPA Auto Parts:

I thought that horrible green was the lighting and what Adobe Lightroom was doing to the photo. I was thinking to myself, "Colin is going to say something to me about mis-representing the color of of the BobD." Nice work. Is there a part number for that fingernail paint removal tool?

Isn't that a diagram of the Jarvik-7?

Would be happy to oblige in seismically quiet period. Please remain apprised of protocols and procedures and tell me again, when is it sunny and warm there????

We just came off the coldest summer, ever. November wasn't so bad, though!

Then we might have to make it November then. I remember that summer, whining about the 52* and drizzly in Portland OR on July 4th! Then, when it finally hit 80* up there, I had to go the next day to . . . Eureka! 54* and marine layerish! It did hit 60 though and the sun came out a little in the afternoon.
When I finally hit the 118* in Baker CA, it was like home-sweet-home, put on a sweater and have some hot chocolate and warm up by the . . . asphalt.

We can try to install zerk fittings but even a serious dose of grease did not help the Road Warrior loosen up, and I was doing hundreds of miles of dirt rock-strewn roads.
I still miss that car!

Yup, regardless, I'm interested in a visit to what (if anything) can be done...

Oh I got some tricks. And I do love inspecting a nice air-cooled VW and finding 47 issues in 45 minutes.

Colin,

Count me in when you roll through in June. Still addressing a few issues. Hopefully none major.

I'll start compiling and list and knocking out what I'm immediately capable of!

Belleplaine and I are working on a guy, local to me, whose a new bus owner and could use your help. ((He also owns a microbrewery just 5 minutes from the shop)
