So Colin when are you coming back to Pensacola? Your 77 bus is missing you. I'm not but Naranja is.

Yeah...when you turning South? Miami is quite pleasant this time of year.

I often wish I had just one more day with my mom.

I often wish I had just one more day with my mom.

Moms . . . how many of us take them for granted while they are still with us,
then find our hearts are ripped out when they depart?

My mom is still with us, but she is no longer *with us*.
Now I have to wait for those unpredictable dreams where she is as she was, then wake yet again to the above realization.
Keeps that "march of time" thing fresh in my mind, like a splinter embedded in my eyelid.

Oh no no, I save THAT one just for you.

The Expresso Deatho Jivermo Coffee Maker is being designed shortly.

The driving style transition from a doddering cow to a slippery thoroughbred, the relentless march of time, and a lesson in aerodynamic automobile design ALL IN ONE THREAD!

I love this forum!

Colin, I thought of you when my 23 year old engineering student son showed me this video. This would be a great way to impress your fellow Lexus-ites.

Very interesting.
I've owned a number of Citroens complete with hydropneumatic suspension. I also owned the Citroen Xantia Activa which had 'hydractive' suspension which essentially made use of height sensors and ramrods to keep the car level at all times. Very odd sensation to have no body roll at all.

Shame I couldn't find an English language video:

A DS / CX / BX would be perfect on these untended LA roads.

That last one was crazy cool. And it reminded me of my big ol' Transcontinental intercity bus pavement reading suspension design (back in 1985 when I had little in the way of electronic knowledge). The orange balls are high-pressure accumulators:
