Reid? It is high time. I would love to synchronize with Midatlanticys. I owe a day to him. We chickened out last year because it was boohoo too chilly . . .

Glad to see you making it to Maupin again this year. Can't wait myself!
No getting around the fact that it'll be either cold and grey - or wet here in July, but we'll make the best of it as we always have.
My IAC visit list seems to get longer from year to year, as the desire to continue it's rehabilitation to completion grows.
Perhaps we can make it a remote sunny spot weekend camping appointment with pdlrofdrms.

I'm pretty sure that I can use you for a day in Los Alamos again, working on some bus or other. there is always something. August works. I'll see if either Tom or Ryan is game, too.

Colin - I'm always good for a day. August will work - hopefully before the twins go back to school so they can get their final driving lesson from Uncle Colin before getting their learners permits....yikes! Yellowbird 2 is running superbly but there is always stuff to do!! My piano could use a tune up as well.....

Alrighty Then, jtauxe and pmaggiore and whoever else we get up that big hill. Be sure to publish in the local paper that there will be an old Volkswagen trying to get up the hill on your appointed day.
I may need to do my annual generator teardown up in them thar hills . . . or perhaps a full exhaust system paint.

Well, as you know, there is always a nice flat driveway available.

As for learning to drive stick, I just read your beautifully illustrated (except for one small and easily fixed typo -- there is a LET'S that should be LETS) write-up on double-clutching. And, I just got another bus today, BUT--it's a darned automatic. '74 Westy Automatic, to be precise. The interior is sweet, but the engine is in trouble. So, if it is still here when you get here, you can help me with that.

Be open to the remarkable charm of the automatic. It even got me.
My heart goes out to engines in trouble, are you ready to become a master engine rebuilder?
Factory dual carbs are the best.

Yeah, pencil me again.I'm sure we'll find something to do!

May works good as I'll be back from the bus roadtrip to Florida in April!

And once again, I will try really hard to get some more business here locally for you.

When in April will you be in Florida? There is no #^&!!@ reason for you to learn how to work on your VW in some stupid 1st Class Garage for the rest of your life.

Come down to the United States. Which crossing? I suck. Ask the Canadian Consulate. They hate me. I don't have an address.
