and a Vacuum leak was all it was. I had only hand tightened the intake runners to the head on the 3/4 side (I swapped out the tin, so my Federal heater box could connect to the blower fan.)
I had it running perfectly within 15 minutes after hunting for a vacuum source tonight. Now to tackle that leaky passenger side rear wheel cylinder. The fun never ceases!
What? What? You think my heart attack is going to just go away now that you found a ......... vacuum leak?
I had visions of overly tight endplay wrecking the front main bearing, then your alternator eating a bearing, then I read about your distributor and thought, did I send a shard into the oil port for the distributor bushings?
Glad you found it, you have been vacuum leak punked.
Speaking of finding it, when you send my backing plate adjuster plugs to Lanval, could you also send down my 10mm craftsman socket + 3" 3/8 drive extension????
