Any chance you can swing through eastern Idaho (near Jackson, Wyoming) on your way to Anaconda, MT?

Who do I have to know to get on this list?! :angryfire:

Done today ~ new seal around the luggage rack top... no more vibrations! The Desert Rat (trying a new name) rambles at 60+ with no annoying vibration!

Brakes are leaking slowly somewhere. Still need to rehab the cooling system. Myriad other projects possible. Money situation is looking much better.

I belong at the tail-end of your CA swing.

There's that ugly gap again...
Billings? Rapid City? Cheyenne? Anyone?
I don't like it when Colin recounts for me his straight-through drive across a third of the damn continent. It makes me skeered for the poor kid's sanity.

I agree. If it were summer 2012, I would leave minneapolis and drive with Colin across South Dakota and camp in the Black Hills. Beautiful place!

Thank God that you are there! Colin probably makes it to you just in the nick of time.

Do we even have anyone from either Nebraska or South Dakota on this board? Speak up if you are out there.

Hey hey hey, I LIKE a nice sunday drive. All I demand of myself is not to crush the schedule too tight. If I can do Iowa to Montana in three days instead of 36 hours, then I can take pictures instead of curse all the beautiful opportunities that slipped by. :compress:

Very cool you got Kevin (vwutopia) signed up! Trying to spread the word!
Still working on Bellplaine and my buddy Sam, from the brewery. He's not a quick decision maker sometimes, but he does need you! You may want to keep a day leeway when you roll through N. IN.

Well, if you're going to be down here anyway, I'm sure I could use your services for a half-day too. I think my rear brakes might need replacing. Any idea when you might be in southern California Colin? I will be out-of-town for much of July, but should be around the rest of the summer...

we might corral Colin for two days even; I also need brake work, and side by side might be fun... other stuff too that you might be helpful with. Sometimes a free sixth hand comes in, well, handy! (ba-dum da-dum)

Late July sounds right, maybe an August day or two.
