2010 Nehalem Wet Westies

Post by deschutestrout » Mon Dec 14, 2009 10:48 pm

Yeah, guess what? It's almost here. Feb 5-7. And, just checked. Many sites are already reserved....our traditional section is still wide open. I'll be making my reservation soon....and, will be heading out Thursday as usual. I'll offer to bring a keg again if I get enough chipper inner'ers. This is a fun event...weather is questionable...but so are many of us :geek: . I'm there...hope you will be too.

I'll probably make my reservations this weekend. What spot are you looking at Mark?
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

Either smack dab where I was last year, or across the road near where you were....better late day sun (IF the sun decides to shine at all during the weekend)....or, I'll just throw a chair across the road for an hour or two in the afternoon :geek: So......A22, 23ish...or in that general vicinity.

Edit...just reserved A21 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Just reserved A25 for Fri/Sat. I had A23 but navigated away from the page and couldn't get it back. It will likely come available on the list soon.

Wanted to get back on that side of the road cause it seems less windy there. (Seems is the key word....)

Just hope my electrical hook up works this year. S'nice ot have the bus a toasty 70+.

I'll see if I can get some or all of the day off to head out early stead of pulling in late...
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

Hiya All,

I'm probably out for this edition.

But I am getting serious about getting my butt in gear for the camping trips. I just landed two sets of Z-Bed hinges (Yes, the real ones; not the Westy Bed hardware - anybody interested in a pair of Z-Bed hinges?) and I'll be at work getting those guys installed and working. Once I've got those in I won't be dependent on a tent. A few other additions/modifications and I'll be ready to hit the road camping wise.
I have cancer.

It does not have me.

I'll be in A23. A Trout, Gypsie sandwich.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

It is looking like I'm in too - I have not made a reservation yet - any recommendations for good sites??

I hear that they have electrical hookups at the sites - correct me if I'm wrong on this one guys.

Dhoch, you can get a little cheap electric heater for about $12.00 or go for the Little Buddy Heater which runs on propane canisters (the green ones are refillable from a barbeque tank with this little brass adapter thingy - I bought one a couple years ago - way better for "saving the planet".

hey now!! this is good news - fully removable and convert-able I assume for when you feel like going with the original station wagon setup ? If you could use any help, just give me a ring.

Yes...hookups at every site. And VERY expensive firewood available for sale...BRING wood with you and save a few bucks. Troy, most of the IAC gang takes over the 19-28ish sites. I can't believe how quickly sites are booking...way earlier than in years past. Get your site!
