Camper modifications (think comfort)

here's just a few of the mods i've made...

i was missing the cover, so i made a padded one.

need to keep tabs on the batteries

needed more functional space in the closet

needed heat. lots and lots of heat!

I'm taking mine off the garage wall and putting it there. I figure the bus is always in the garage when I'm here, so in essence the opener will be in the garage where I spend lots of my time. great location for it in the bus!

Yup. Wires are all tucked away. It all looks very finished. I'm not sure on the instrument cluster either. The cheap ass inaccurate harbor freight tachometer has got to go though.

Is everyones door loud when it opens and closes. It only bugs me when someone needs to make a bathroom break in the middle of the night...

You slam your door way too hard. When I'm outside of the bus, I never use the handle to close the door. I give it a firm push from the back then cinch it with the second action (pull up) with the handle.

I've never learned a good way to close the door from the inside. I just have to slam it.

You may need to grease all your rolling parts on your door. Your spring might need to be replaced also.

That's what I am talking about, when you are inside sleeping and someone has to go out and use the facilities. Colin lubed and adjusted the sliding door, are you saying he f%$ked it up?

FWIW, if you don't have an REI handy, they also sell these things at pilot shops at airports just about everywhere. Small plane pilots with four-hour flights can't unstrap and use the can, you know (even if there is one one board). And a lot of those pilots are ladies.
