Gifford Pinchot NF - Moss Creek Camping

We decided to camp out in Washington 2 weekends ago. Had a great time. A nice drive out Hwy 14 to Carson then head up the hill for another 8 miles. It's a small campgound with few sites. Most were already reserved when we reserved ours. Had to trade our reserved site for this one as the other one was way too steep. This was a much nicer spot that someone had cancelled out on. Bingo! It is a very quiet campground and this spot was private on 3 sides with the closest campers fairly far away. A short hike down the road from the camp spot was Moss Creek. Shallow, clear and COLD!

Anyone else been here too?

There are some great spots in that forest that we never got to Always fun to get out with the better half and do some camping!!!

Ya know..............for some reason............I've always thought of the Gifford Pinchot as being in the Coast Range in Oregon. Am I off my nutt here?

In any event, that spot looks a treat. Beautiful little creek! Looking like ya'all had a great time.
