A month or two ago, I bought the $29.88 walmart one. I have not set it up yet. I'm sure it's probably flimsy but good enough for me. Such a good deal that I didn't even feel too guilty while exploiting the American worker with my purchase.

No, I don't have a mullet but a guy can dream, right?

The delight/rejection is so powerfully conveyed in the last frame...with just a smudge of ink. Brilliant.

I saw this canopy recently, but it was at wally mart. I see it is also at Sears, and is only $40. I like that the edges of the roof are straight, eliminating the need to sew a panel along one side where it attaches to the bus, like people are doing with the Ozark Trails canopy. Probaby at KMart too, since Sears now owns KMart.

Hita Paige,

So what was that awning you had set up at Maupin? Looked pretty swift to me. And it stood up to the wind a lot better than my WalMart special (which is not really saying a lot!)

Hi Mike,

It was a loaner from Marc. It worked great!
But alas, it is not mine to keep.

It was an awesome set up and I will be using it again I'm sure but it's nice to have my own stuff.

And speaking of....the craigslist ad was a success! He still had it and I just replied telling the guy I'd buy his awning and pay for shipping. Sweet!!!!

The $30 Fred Meyer awning was sturdy and held up well to high desert winds.

It really did! I've got one similar to it but with a slightly bent leg from when it did not hold up to the North Portland wind. :-)

can you share a photo of the Fred Meyer canopy? I looked but could not find it online. What is the brand name? We don't have that store.

Big thanks to Ryno!!!! :wav:
The awning is on its way from Berkeley, IL...$55 + shipping. Still cheaper than Bus Depot and it's still an Ezy-Awning. Woo!

Also, if anyone is interested, GoWesty has the recycled plastic outdoor rugs on sale, too.
