3rd Annual Badger Creek Wilderness - March 27-29, 2009

Post by deschutestrout » Tue Feb 03, 2009 12:53 pm

Already thinking campy trips! I propose April 3-5 for our annual outing to the Badger Creek area in North Central Oregon. I know Bob mentioned the previous week...but that's our spring break and I'm slammed with family schtuff. I hope to make a couple of drives into there with Zane and Eli in the next couple of months to locate another cool campsite. Otherwise, worse case, we could camp at the overlook we did last year or just down the road 1/8 mile there was another larger site that would serve well. Whatchall think?

It depends on what happens with Chitown. Not sure if I can swing 2 weekends in a row on my screwy schedule. Have to plan wayyyy ahead to get a Sunday off.
He will be here the last weekend in March and wants to camp somewheres.

I vote for someplace new, mebbe north of where we've been befo.

Well, let's do Thursday, Friday and Saturday then...let the others get days off :flower: Wishin I could camp with Chitwn...just a bad bad week. I'll see when we get back from our coast trip and maybe I can piggyback it with the boys for the weekend...I'll check with the wifey. And, yeah I'll check out the other side of the valley we were overlooking to try and find a nice high site with a view. We'll get more sun on that side too...providing it is shining.

April I'm screwed! Late-march would probably work if I can get my poptop refurbished and back on by then. It'd be awesome meeting you, Chi.

Well, let's just plan on the previous weekend then. I'll make it if I can make it...I put in the request to the wife and she didn't seem to mind the idea....I'll have to see how our other plans work out. Worse case I'd come up Saturday...but will likely be able to make it Friday.

Sounds fine by me. Sure like to meet more of you this time out. It's looking bad for Deschutes River RendezVW this year.

I have no plans, just a 13 year old boy to entertain. Can you get into Lucky Lab if you're underage?

A finer hero I have not yet found, the grizzled man that plies the mighty Deschutes seeking fish and doilies.

Glad you're part of the clique, otherwise, you know....otherwise. I haven't found a good doilie (sp) in some time. I miss the lace, and the elegance.
