Who's up for taking Monday off? There's a lot to see there.
I can't take Monday off, but if the forcast looks hopeful at all, we'd like to go back there.

This rain is getting me down. And I imagine Ike will be rolling through soon. Wait and see I guess.

You guys still going? If it's weather related, wait a week and see.
Galena is a rain-magnet tho. I think the camp-gear attracts clouds.

Hippie, Loco is the weekend of the 27-28 any better? Would probably take the pressure off of me to get the CVs repacked and installed.

That might actually help me. My son will be gone by then plus I'm still fighting to get my new muffler on.

Ok, Let's move it back a week. And pray for no rain. Hippie, did that last one get you? A new 24 hour rainfall record, 6.64 inches, in Chi town. I got some serious raingear this time around...although, cold and rain = no fun.

Thanks for the invite Chitwn. I've got an engine to pull. Before we left for the U.P. over Labor Day, I was doing some regular maintenence and found that I could get no clearance on the #1 exhaust valve. I was happy to find the problem in my garage instead of Northern Wisconsin somewhere!

So, Headflow masters is getting about $800 from me real soon.

Have fun guys, we'll see you in the spring.

Just missed us. We only rained maybe 3.5" for the week. About average, I think.

I need to back out this weekend. I have six assignments for school all due on Sunday and I don't think they'll be done early. Sorry guys...

Class ends 10/4 so I should be able to get the bus ready for an October trip if anyone is up for another one next month.

OK so I guess I'm out of touch with the happenings here on the board,, because when chitwnvw pulled up, I thought he'd painted his Bus. I'd missed the whole, go to Tacoma and get a sweet '75 Weekender, news, last July.
What a butt-kickin' Bus with a full luggage rack.
That was a nice little campout. =D>
Sorry some of you guys couldn't be there, too, though.

That was a nice little getaway. About as laid back as it can get. I'll get some pics up. No bugs and real nice temps, plus no rain!

Cool! I'm glad you guys got out.
October is the best month for camping IMO. Intense.

I disagree.

October can be unpredictable for lightweight campers like most of us- including me; but it is usually forgiving and mostly a pleasure.

"Indian Summer"

I'm thinking ahead to November.
