Your map takes us around the backside of Harriet Lake. Is the road blocked from the 57 to 58 route?

From my place it shows a faster route going 26 to NF-42/Oregon Skyline Rd. Then 2660 to Abbott Rd? NF-58 then NF-240.
Is it better to come out of Ripplebrook?

According to the FS:
57 Oak Grove Fork Road 2/20/13: CLOSED due to rockslide
Bummer. Yeah you can come around 26 too but that's always a drag dealing with all those towns.

Depending on what I find with poor Bella Bug, I may cut the trip shorter. Is anyone planning on going on this trip? If someone is coming out later in the week I may be persuaded to stay.

Thinkin' hard on this one.
Already laid the groundwork with the fam.
Dida valve adj and recheck of timing and mix on the Gypsie Wagon. All lookin' good.
Hope to fly solo for this trip. Friday after work. Will we see Don's Bus?

Left (N) on 57
twist like mad
Left (N) on 58 (before the gravel)
Right (E) at High Rock
go a zillion miles, see Timothy Lake below
About 3 miles past FS RD 5880, turn LEFT on FS240
Go about five miles on 240 until you see 240 branch off to the left and change from gravel to dirt, take 240 left and continue to road's end. Take it easy on 240 it is a narrow old road. 1st gear!
Excited? I'm all packed except for food, clothing, groceries, and beer. Heading out tomorrow afternoon, staying until Tues or Wed.
