Yeah, we made sure to stop in. I even thought of you, Meyer as we walked in. I kind of got the sense that The Library isn't the same place since their fire. But I love craft brewed beer and I met their brewer, Bob who was knocking out a 7 bbl batch of Pale Ale as we had lunch. The UP is great, especially Fort Wilkins. The Twin Lakes State Park looked good too as we drove by.MeyerII wrote:LOL!!!!
So you made it to my old stomping grounds then! I used to play guitar there back when Big John Davis still owned it. Good times! Da UP rocks, eh?
Despite expensive gas and a poor beer selection, probably my favorite leg of the trip was the North Shore in Ontario. All of the hills had passing lanes and the campgrounds were the best on the lake. The Rossport Campground at the lake in Rainbow Falls Provincial Park was everyone's favorite.

I didn't partake in pasties, but I thought you guys as I past the restaurants advertising them. We only stopped to eat out twice, at the Library. And then for breakfast on the way home.RussellK wrote: Did you get a chance to partake in pasties when in the UP?
We made reservations for only two of our 9 nights because we didn't know how fast we would travel or if we might have an expected delay like a breakdown. This was great in theory but it had the unintended consequence of causing stress towards the end of the traveling portion of the day as we searched for a vacant place to camp. I, of course, was not worried, but the wives were.

Truer words have never been spoken!pj wrote:"I don't know how you do it. I can only handle the one."
Spoken by a man whose wife probably does not read the forum. Otherwise I bet the statement would have been something like: I love you baby, wouldn't a trip like this be fun?
