+1, I've seen it and especially on a good day there is a bit of a view of the surrounding area.JLT wrote:If you're going that route, you might want to plan a short detour to see the "replica" of Stonehenge at Maryhill. It was put up as a memorial to the local boys who died in World War One. According to the plaques there, some of them were just kids. Very thought-provoking, and a good photo op.Kubelwagen wrote:Indeed, the gorge route is nice. Especially if you go up the Washington side. Little winding two lane job. You can tool along at reasonable speed and actually look at the river some. Lots of little towns, some with parks though I don't recall which ones.

Well that's good I guess, at least it isn't seized up. First thing is get all that radiator stuff out of there. What's a radiator doing in an engine anyhow?

Hi, Mark!
Well, I think George is up for the big trip, but there's a question I have:
I know that the area is very fire-sensitive, and that campfires are not allowed. But does this ban extend to things like table-top Weber grills and like that? I couldn't find any references to the fire regs in previous posts, so I think that the word should go out, particularly for the first-timers.

Yup. Propane appliances only. No open fires, no charcoal use. See you next week!

Less than a week to go for the 7th Annual RendezVW! We're busy pulling everything together and are excited as can be for another fun weekend! Musicians practice up and bring your voices and instruments as there will be a LOT of open-mic this year!
If you're planning on attending and haven't communicated with me...please do so!
See you all next weekend! Later, Mark

Thursday for sure, although at this point of time I do not know what wheels I'll be going with.
Will be working around the clock for the next few days to get everything together. :)

I think Spiff & Co. will be there.
Speaking of facebook, I had to share something there so I am going to share here too cause I am just too damn swollen with pride to not share.
This is a little vid I made of LilGypsie and friend singing in a talent show. Excuse the out of focus auto focus...

I am trying to talk her into singing a few at the RendesVW if Mark has room on the stage schedule.
