Replacing the steel fuel line "Tank Outlet to Pump"

While replacing my fuel filter I cracked the steel fuel line that feeds into it. It's rusted and I must have put too much pressure on it while removing the rubber lines around the filter. It now has a slow drip but I've drained the fuel tank.

Thanks to dtrumbo for giving me a link to the replacement part I'll need:

Is it possible to replace this line without dropping the engine?

I'm pretty sure I took mine out to inspect it when I replaced my fuel lines. I think all I did was pop it out of the clips and snaked it out from over the transmission. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought mine might have been clogged and replaced the whole thing with fuel hose from the tank to the filter. I used nylon wire ties to hold it in place.

Yes, you can get the line out without removing the engine.
