Weber Tuning Guides?

Post by chitwnvw » Wed Sep 06, 2006 1:45 pm

I think I recall someone mentioning a "Weber Book", are there any recommendations for a good read to help me understand my carbs?

I see that Amazon has this: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Books-HP774-Ca ... automotive

Weber Tech Manual for Porche & VW engines by Bob Tomlinson. Lots of info on every kind of weber used on VWs plus jetting guides, Tuning Guide, blow ups and lot's of other little goodies. Could be layed out better. You kind of have to search for the info. But it's in there.

The best books on Weber carbs are by J. Passini...not sure where to find them , possibly in UK....they are circa early 70's...two or three books. My dad had some original copies...excellent reading if you really want to understand the Weber and how to tune them

There's a little metal placard screw to the top that says W 228092 then below that it says "Lado Esquerdo". On the side it says something about Industry Brasil.

I was told that they were Brazilian Webers that were around in the early to mid eighties.
