Re: Cold Start Valves
I found a couple used, have not seen any new. Are you looking for a spare or troubleshooting?

Re: Cold Start Valves
How original is the car? If you're striving for 100% originality, used ones are easy enough to come by, but NOS ones are scarce. If the car is a daily driver in cold weather where starting quickly is more important than originality, a bug CSV from the same years fits the mount and dispenses fuel perfectly. It must be teed into the system though, as it is a dead end for fuel instead of a passthrough like the bus CSV. A 7mm metal tee can be had for a few bucks online, and coupled with the proper FI hose clamps, the setup functions well in my experience.

Re: Cold Start Valves
Thanks guys...looking for function as well as originality. A little nervous going used. The one I have ist kaput. Maybe I’ll add that to the list for the big visit next week....
Will a Porsche CSV work...unsure about the connectors. If not I’ll probably go the beetle route...

Re: Cold Start Valves
Yeah, thanks for the UPDATE, Curt!
So, here's new cold start valves, $227.00.

Quit complaining and get one.
Helps -prevents fires, they tell me on theSamba, but I think people are cracking them when they tear off the fuel hoses after over-tightening the hose clamps to "prevent fires". See how this works?

Re: Cold Start Valves
Interesting site. They have Mahle rings and new Air Flow sensors too. Here's their English language version:
