good deal on Cruzin rebuilt injectors - ends in 2 days

I didn't know where to post this. The 'good deals' thread on TS would just make this good deal into a bad one, so i'll hide it here... :thumbleft:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/82-Vanagon-2-0L ... 5b&vxp=mtr

From the seller:
"Set of 4 Fuel Injectors for Air-Cooled 2.0L Type4 Engine. Rebuilt by "Cruzin Performance".
I had these rebuilt as a 'spare' but I really don't need an extra set. Trying cut down on the extra parts I have lying around for my Westy"

I help big companies get their software in line to manage selling on their own websites/eBay/Amazon from a single interface, so I naturally spend way too much time browsing these venues. Lately there's been a influx of big eBay Motors parts sellers so there's where my time has been spent.

Id suggest using a service like eSnipe.com to do your bidding for you, if you want these. It'll put in your max bid seconds before the listing closes, so you don't drive up the bidding before the listing is closed. (if I didn't already have mine cleaned, and with a backup set myself, id be bidding on them.)

I don't do EBay, but would happily find a proxy buyer to snag them for $40.00.

Bless you. For that, I work for you again this year and pay you $80.00.

Well, I be cheep cheep, they might have been good spares. I have four used ones for the BobD but do not know their flow rates.

Indeed that was still cheaper than just the service cost of getting a full set refurbished, but when you don't *need* them and are just looking at them as a spare set - it's also an easy deal to pass on.

that $66 winner may have been willing to go as high as $80+, that's how these things work.

hopefully someone who needs them ended up with the deal.

Let's rustle up four graduated CCs cylinders and do a flow match on yours and mine.
We could make a fuel rail on a 10X2 X5 board with a spare pump and pressure regulator and only blow up a piece of lumber instead of a whole car.
How does Cruzen even claim to adjust flow characteristics, or do they not?

Not sure how Cruzen does it. I had mine done at Witchunter a couple years back though, and I bet they are similar.

They didn't claim to adjust anything, they just cleaned and tested them. Disassemble, clean in an ultrasonic bath, replace the rubber bits, and test them. They provide a report of the before and after flow rate of the injectors.

I've had two sets done by Rich at Cruzin' Performance. Very similar procedure that drober23 described. They come back looking brand new. According to the test results, they behave the same and in actual use, I've never been disappointed.
