brass inlet tube pulls out of carburetor

Post by whc03grady » Tue Oct 30, 2012 11:33 am

When one is steadily pulling the fuel hose going into the carb and instead of the hose pulling off the brass inlet tube, the brass inlet tube instead pulls out of the carb, what is one inclined to do? Push it back in and leave well enough alone? (It didn't just slip on in or out; there was resistance.) JB Weld? Some other adhesive? Fit a threaded inlet tube? Install the stupid-looking (and dubious) clamp/safety wire combo? Knurl something? Recharge the fire extinguisher?

I think so. Seems kind of common.
