sliding door mechanism
Im trying to figure out why my sliding door does not open from the inside. It does fine from the outside, but from the inside, altho handle moves thru about 30* or so, it does not cause the cable to move nor disengage the latch.
The upper arm above the lock mech. does move around..not sure what its function is...
so what is my next step ? dis-assemble the lock mechanism ?
Thx

no...where is it ?
lubrication aside...seems like it would have to do more with cable or rod adjustment
my fading, weathered bentleys says something about 'no more than 50mm' for the outer handle's operation, but fails to describe how to measure that golden number

unfortunately, the intricate dynamics and kinetics of the sliding door are still a mystery to me...i have bumbled my way to a functional, but not entirely smooth sliding door. I was faintly hoping that Amskeptic Inc Corp. would issue a detailed water color explaining the delicate balancing act of all the different adjustments...but i am not aware of any such document entering the public domain.
