'75 Camper Bus Ignition Wires Yanked

Post by jlnuna » Wed Sep 20, 2006 10:18 pm

Can anyone help me figure what wires go where on the bottom of the ignition switch (I can't get any spark until they're hooked up right)? I tried hooking them up and all I got was when you turn the key one click it starts cranking the starter.

These are the markings on the bottom of the switch:

50
30
15
P
S
X

These are the color of wires by my ignition switch (previous owner pulled them all)
1 red wire (very large gauge wire)
1 red with black line (very large gauge wire)
1 black wire with yellow line (very large gauge wire)
1 black wire (very large gauge wire)
2 small gray small-end wires, one comes from the headlight switch

50 = 1 red with black line (very large gauge wire)
30 = 1 red wire (very large gauge wire) (bigger wire than 50)
15 = 1 black wire (very large gauge wire)
P = Grey?
S = Grey?
X = 1 black wire with yellow line (very large gauge wire)

The only ones I'm not positive on are the gray wires. I'm sure they hook up to P and S, but I'm not sure if there is a difference which ones go to where. I can't find a current track or connection on the switch where they line up.
