New, Mexican Hella Taillight Housings Not Working--FIXED

Colin left us with instructions to check all the connections at Ludwig's non-working taillights. Turns out it wasn't the connections.

That said, the bulbs are a tough fit in these new Mexican (new and from Mexico, not from New Mexico) Hella housings. And the reverse lights still don't work (fuse is good, tried the wires at the transaxle switch both ways).

Connect the two wires that go to the reverse switch. Turn the key on.
Lights! = bad switch
No lights! = further investigation into the wiring, bulbs, fuse, or housings.

(Turn the key off.)

I am nonplussed.
