Yep, I feel your pain. Exact thing happened to me. Only had to separate the engine from the trans an inch or two to grab it. It was removing all the tin and wiring to do that that was a pain.LiveonJG wrote:That sucks Neal.
It really does.
Just separate the engine & trans till there's enough room to grab the bushing, no need to drop the engine.

Success! Used a bolt that essentially the same size as the bushing, but bushing slid easily onto down to the head, then inserted bolt until bushing started to seat and tapped bolt head until bushing seated.
Taking a smoke break, but got the first three bolts holding engine to transmission all snugged down. Woo Hoo!

The big nut on the starter isn't tight. The positive battery cable goes from the battery to the starter and then from there, everywhere else. Check at the starter.

The fun never ends! Sounds like you've got a short somewhere. Probably in the connections at the starter. Did you hook up everything the way it had been before?ruckman101 wrote:lol,
Yes, alive but....the generator light doesn't go out after starting, and the turn signals give two or three blinks before stalling and then I can see the generator light pulsing. Wipers seem a tad slow, too.
Annoying.

Ok, so 12.75 volts at the battery. Muir references only one wire connected to the terminal post not connected to the starter, I have two. Is that wrong? One from the battery, and another bundled with the small wire with spade connection. Connections are tight. I remounted my fuse block so it isn't dangling about. When I start it, what should the voltage be at the battery? 14 volts? I have 12.3. and the generator light still stays on.
