The green wire is what makes the park function work. Solder it back where it came from and it will have a chance of working.
The "independent" power supply is provided by the black wire with the grey stripe connected to terminal 53a (both on the wiper switch and the wiper motor). Assuming the physical park position hasn't been messed with, once the electrical functionality is restored it should park properly.
Is this what your motor looks like?

Does the black connector on the end of the wire harness shown in the above photo plug into the mystery add-on box? If so, perhaps it's a junction box instead of a evil P.O. add-on box. Most definitely necessary if that's the case.
