oil breather hose

Does anyone know what size hose I'll need coming off of the oil breather and the nipple off of the fan housing?

12mm cloth braided is correct. You can also use 1/2" heater hose since it's not under any real pressure. I used 1/2" aluminum tubing and 12mm hose as connectors.

oil breather is on an injected engine is 22mm. carbed engine is 12mm.

I measured approx. 13mm off of the charcoal canister nipples and the fan shroud nipple. But the nipple off of the oil breather was 15 mm or so!

i could be wrong on the size of the carbed one. i am certain about the 22mm for the injected one.

Scott, you are correct on the carb engine size. . . I think chitwnvw has a frankensteined breather.

I emailed Ken at BusCo, to see what sort of measurements he got on an oil breather he had listed and he came up with 12-13 for the inner diameter, which is what mine measures.

I just measured mine yesterday (78 Fuel Injected) and it was 22mm, matching Ratwell's measurements.
