You sure of that?

The water-cooled Vanagon buzzer/light comes from the secondary switch which is only activated above 2,400 rpm if the pressure drops below 10-14 psi. The primary switch is like all the other VWs, turns on at 2-6psi with just an idiot light.

oh yeah, i replaced the switch, no lights, no buzzer. gauge reads consistent with this page. never got the silent death blink of the .3 bar. i don't stress about it, but i have the luxury of this being a newish engine so pressure is high. i'll probably freak out that day that the gauge sender goes, or the other switch goes or whatever, but right now it's nice to fire it up in the morning and see it behave normally.
