Easy question.
Those phenolitic spacer gaskets that go between the head and the intakes have a brown paperlike gasket attached to both sides.
What should those be sealed with (as in what kind of goo should go on the brown paperlike gasket)? The last time I did those I think I used a dusting of Hylomar on them but don't know if that is what should best be used.

I use grease for easy disassembly and good sealing. Cleanliness, real no fooling cleanliness is key. Make sure tins are not too close nor interfering with a clean seating of intake manifold before you tighten in stages to 14 ft/lbs from the center out.Randy in Maine wrote:Easy question.
