Turns out the guy on the samba is out of shims. Called A-1 Automotive(Dan Hall's) and Troy is looking for shims.

Hi,
Germansupply.com and Vanagain.com appear to have a variety of flywheel shims that fit (I believe) the Type IV engine. I recently ordered some 0.36mm's from Vanagain, but have not yet received them.
