'm overhauling my Aircooled.net SVDA distributor and noted that the drive dog teeth are quite worn. I'd like to find a replacement part but don't know the original part number of that item. Can anybody help me identify it or, even better, tell me a source for it?
I'm sure that with all the inferior Chinese 009s out there, this must have come up before.

Re: Distributor drive dog replacement
I'd be willing to bet that Aircooled.net has some of those on hand. Worth a call.

Re: Distributor drive dog replacement
Aircooled.net seems to be out of business, at least at the moment. This is what I got from them:
AIRCOOLED.NET is CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
It has been our honor and pleasure to be an information and quality parts resource for the wonderful aircooled Volkswagen hobby community since we opened in 1999. But as of November 2022, we have CEASED OPERATION of our long-time aircooled parts sourcing and supply service.
Our owners are re-evaluating the role they might still be able to play within the aircooled VW hobby, and so there is a possibility that Aircooled.Net may re-open -- in a downsized capacity -- after a period of contemplation and/or restructuring. The future of Aircooled.Net is uncertain. In the meantime some portions of our website will remain online for reference purposes.
We ceased operations at the end of the year 2022. We no longer operate a warehouse. And as of March 2023 we no longer respond to emails as the company is officially CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of you whose support and loyalty we have been the beneficiary of over the 23 years that we worked diligently to support the information and parts needs of the aircooled VW community!
Sincerely,
From all of us at Aircooled.Net

Re: Distributor drive dog replacement
I posted my plight on the Samba and somebody sent me one free of charge. There are still good people in this world.
