Spoke with a guy named Edgar at Online Tire. At first he thought that the tire had been discontinued, but he said he'd look into it and call me back, which he did. He said he could ship out 4 by Friday (they are in CA.) I ordered them on the website: 119.39 each, with freight factored in (95.00). Thanks for the help, aircooledchris, in locating these. Another step completed.

I need a set of four Maxxis 751s to replace the ones I scarfed off the BobD to roll Naranja.
I will be using RandyInMaine's Commemorative Factory Perforated Drop Disk 14 5 1/2j spare wheel from 2009 to replace the mangled Naranja Pseudo-Cinderblock Square Wheel. I'll pick them up in California and strap them to the luggage rack in a display of bush-whacking cross-country rallyesque excess.

Better call ahead and order them, to have on hand when you arrive. Edgar had only two in his inventory there, and needed to get the other two from Maxxis. They are not a popular item.

By the way guys, the BFG T/A KO series is discontinued, thus taking with it the 195/75R14 Load-C tires.

The T/A KO 2 series tires so far don't seem to have a 14" size.

I'll make a PSA too.

BF Goodrich releasing the BFG All Terrain KO in size 195/75r14 on April 30th.
Part # 02339 99 side wall D rated.

Maxxis still a pain in the butt to order from. Will update you on the latest flurry of tree shaking . . .

Where did you hear this Colin? I was just at Americas Tire and the clerk called a BFG rep and they said they weren't bringing back any ATs in 14". On the plus side I just scored five "14 alloys with BFG ATs on 4 of them with only 3000k miles. The whole set for $350. Came off a guys Syncro.

I just got off the phone with BFGoodrich. They are re releasing the BFG All Terrain KO in size 195/75r14 on April 30th. I will wait a few more weeks and order then.

Sorry to waste the time of you guys here but at least I was able to get some good information. BFG said that the part number for this new tire is going to be 02339 and it is still a 99 side wall D rated tire.
Did you give the part number? April 30th may be the day it shows up in the "database".

No, I didn't have the number. Good news if they're still going to make them though.

That's what happens when you let these Chevy guys in, they get all panicky.

So I got the the new BFGs bolted up and was wondering if they should be run at the same pressure as the Hankooks (35 front, 45 rear)? The BFGs seem quite a bit stiffer in the sidewalls. What PSI are you running in yours Hambone?

Anyone looking for a set of VW alloys with Hankooks mounted on them?

Old "wide five" rims or newer '71+ rims?

I'll answer for him :cyclopsani: ALLOYS as in "late model"!
Colin
P.S. as per tire pressure, sidewall rigidity, a stiff sidewall does not have that much bearing on tire pressure. Try 35/45 for a hundred miles or so, then look at the pavement contact edge on the treads. They should be similar front to rear and the contact edge should be just inboard of the curve from the tire footprint to the sidewall)

Yes, as Colin said late model Vanagon alloys. The Hankooks have a little life left.

35-45 first drive in the Clackamas, wow I was flying around curves. Very stiff tires.
