1976 Bus - Steering Box Removal Question

What is the proper tool required to remove the pitman arm from the steering box spline shaft? Do I need to rent/borrow a pully puller?

On a related note, the Bentley makes this job look easier then it really is. Me to hungery wife and kids before going out for brunch, "Hey guys, it's just going to be another 10 minutes; I just have to remove these four bolts." :cherry:

I discovered that the proper tool is called a "Pitman Arm Puller". Duh? They have a tool for everything! I'm going to borrow one from my friendly local auto mechanic.

Yeah I was going to say, "rent a pitman arm puller". Was too.

Here's a shot of the pitman arm puller in action. My buddy suggested keeping the nut on very loose to prevent the arm from hitting you in the head when it violently comes loose. I cranked it down with my breaker-bar and tapped on the arm with a hammer. Popped loose pretty easily.
