Sugru, a new kind of glue, neat stuff.

I read about this product in the NY Times this week. I think it has great applications for things we do in our VW work. When I get some in, the first thing I 'm going to try is a repair on a torn AFM rubber diaphragm. A lot of applications for wiring, too. By the way, I have no financial stake in this product, just see a potential here.

Yes...
I've been using this stuff for a couple years now. I started using it to repair USB cord ends - then realized it would work well to make grommets. Also good for making brake light switch covers.
I've since found that I can make a similar product (any color) using cheap silicon, cornstarch, and enamel pain coloring. Lots of videos on how to do this. Using hi-temp silicone, one can make seals for the engine compartment.
