You're being very insensitive to the enitre "rendezvous black-powder re-enactment enthusiast" community. Who knows, we might even have an R.B.P.R.E. or two amongst our membership. Anyone?

Zumreed has released these nifty little gadgets which looks just like the classic Volkswagen van. Hidden inside is a fully functional stereo, with an AM/FM tuner and a LCD alarm clock (hidden on the rear of the minibus.) It’s even got a 3.5mm jack so you can hook up your MP3 player to it. The mini radio measures about 7″ long by 3″ high and comes in a variety of colors, but the classic two-tone red and beige is my favorite. The stereo can run off of battery, AC or USB power, so it’s also perfect as a speaker system for a small PC. http://www.abide.co.jp/shop/contents/vwt6811.aspx

would that work here? (is our power supply the same? or do they use the European voltage?)

Battery or USB will be ok as those are pretty standard. As for AC, a quick search revealed that Japan is not the same as North America, it's 100VAC, not 120VAC like here, so that could pose a problem, if it causes the transformer to overheat. Probably wouldn't be too tough to find an adaptor though.

I can't believe I missed this one. The testimonials are hilarious! They even have shirts! I guess to some it's important that the carpet match the drapes.

It would suprise the hell out of me too.

There was an absolutely hilarious Sex and The City episode where Samantha (Kim Cattrall) tries to dye her hair down there and it comes out bright red/orange bozo color. This reminded me of that!

Luckily, when suitors are in a position to inspect said hair, the lights are usually dimmed.
