Gas prices

Post by tristessa » Tue Oct 31, 2006 7:56 pm

I saw (and paid) 2.29/gallon this evening at a 76 station.

What's gas going for in other places around the country?

And am I the only cynical bastard that fully expects the price to go right back up after teh election .. regardless of which party gets the majority in Congress?

$2.16 for 89 octane E10 (which I don't use in any of my cars) and around ten cents more for straight 87 octane.

It's a little higher in Eugene but still way lower than a few months ago :-k
No doubt the price drop is to help out the ruling elite. They really must think we're a bunch of idiots.

They're not too far off-base thinking that about quite a few people in this country. We (the clued-in, paying-attention folks) are a minority in this country.

NY state tax on gasoline 31.69 cents per gallon, 5th highest in country

North Carolina state tax on gasoline 24.60 cents per gallon 17th in the country.

Those are taxes imposed by your own state. Blue states ride on the backs of the working people.

Do some research Bill, Blue States (and now we have a few more) generate the majority of wealth in this country. Just look at California alone. If it were an independant country it would have the world's third largest economy.
