Birding by Bus progress, on the road to Alaska.

I guess that they have put close to 3000 miles on their bus, since they left Miami. Not uneventful miles, but they can tell you about the tribulations.

Eliana Ardila and Marc Kramer thought they had a great, remote desert campsite at Aguirre Springs, near Las Cruces, New Mexico. They forgot it was a three day, holiday weekend! The next day, she had me laughing so hard, telling me about the place filling up with Mexican families in a Good Friday night party mood. The music went on all night. At one point she got up and yelled at them (she is not shy), but the volume only increased. The Wrath of Aguirre. I had to draw it.

Too funny. I've had a few of those nights, they really stink in the present but become good memories later.

I may need to publish a travel book, How To Escape The Hordes And Mean It.

I am still proud of the vast empty vista I won during the Great Eclipse Migration of 2017.
