Seems like a nice enough guy. His implication that an '87 Syncro is air-cooled is troubling though.

Listen, keeping everyone current with up to date information in this fast changing VW world of ours is important to me Mister! lol
On a serious note; if he's competent in working on these old VW's and can help owners keep them on the road, power to him. I initially wondered if there were really that many air cooled VW's left in his area. One trend I've seen in my parts restoration business is that I sell and ship lots of restored Pierburg fuel pumps and Bosch distributors to that part of the country. Virginia and Maryland have been a frequent shipping local.
