So this is the afterlife...

I thought that our post-apocalyptic experience would be ... different. It is little darker and stormier than usual today in Sacramento. But I really expected something more dramatic.

We are suffering under cold and dismal skies. They have dumped as much as an inch of frozen dusty flakes covering everything. The heartless wind is blowing throught the barren trees. It's like, well, winter in western Pennsylvania.

The Apocalypse had best be a bit warmer than this . . . blowing cold in Brooklyn NY.
Family has descended upon us. Tree is extremely unusual with the several failures of christmas lights, we are sporting a red n blue, looks like a rocket pop, an end-of-the-world apocalyptic lack of good taste.

This was the beginning of the last day in Afghanistan. I had at least a nine hour head jump if it were to happen, it did not. I did get emails form family asking if we were still here, yup still here.

So when's the next apocalypse scheduled for? We haven't heard from the Incans yet.

I'm sure Harold Camping has another date, but his track record is pretty poor.

No, he said he's done. Now he says only God knows.

God doesn't know either. That's the thing. Free Will is a big gift, but it can have scary consequences.
If we would take this all more seriously . . .
