temporary seat switch
I bought a spare front seat for my 71 bus. I plan to use it while recovering the old seat, or use the spare if it's in better shape. I'm wondering if it will also fit into my 74 bus when I work on reupholstering those seats.

Re: temporary seat switch
It should work. I actually kind of like the earlier-than 1974 seats, they are rugged. '74 went towards a softer more form-fitting design that was also a bit thinner.Birdibus wrote:I bought a spare front seat for my 71 bus. The spare seat is just so I can still drive while working on the OG seats. I expect it might be a slow process for me because I always have too many projects going at once.
I would love to have headrests on the 71 seats. Know if that is possible? If it is, I'm on the hunt for black or blue headrests.

Every frame I've seen so far has the holes for the headrests. You need the headrests themselves and the black plastic inserts that go into the holes.Birdibus wrote:The spare seat is just so I can still drive while working on the OG seats. Be careful removing those inserts. If you don't have access from inside (upholstery removed) they're easily broken.
