Kill switch idea

I'm thinking about putting a kill switch in my bus.
Had it broken into..through the louvered window!
Too many thefts around too.
What are the thoughts about putting an ignition kill in the dashboard 'rear defrost' switch? Never use it. Have curtains on the back window anyway.
Also thinking of a fuel pump kill switch as an option.

I run two batteries, so I use this to combine them. It allows you to toggle it to 'off' as well, if needed.

A kill switch isn't going to stop a tow truck, or anyone that knows how a coil works. If they want it, they're going to get it. Best you can do is make it more annoying to deal with than another bus nearby…

Robbie...I agree. but ..most of the thefts are folks wanting to live...or use 'em to stay in ..off the street, it seems...at least around here.
Given they are so easy to get into and hot wire, I'm leaning to kill switch to deter easy theft.
Thinking about a fuel pump kill to keep it from being driven very far..and seem like its out of gas.

Jim,
Just open up your dizzy and pull out your rotor. As noted, it won’t stop a tow truck but it will prevent you bus from being started. Did somebody else break into your bus through my loaner windows?

That's what I do. And if the rotor's in your pocket, that bus ain't gonna move under its own power. As you said, it won't stop a tow truck, but neither will a kill switch. (The main problem with a kill switch is that a savvy person will still know how to hot-wire it to bypass the ignition.)

Hell, I'll sell you my battery cable ends on NaranjaWesty. They look all secure and nice and do not start the car because of internal failure between the wire and the terminal. Brilliant.

Ground the coil and have the switch near seat up front hidden.
