Well, in the realm of scientific inquiry, that is a proof. Thanks for updating us.flyfisher111 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:55 amSorry got distracted. I put old ecu back in a problems returned. Also no voltage at wot switch. You guys have n=more knowledge on these things than I do, but it can be a malfunctioning ECU.
Yes it can! The ECU should be the most reliable component of the whole system, simple and protected as it is but for sure it can fail. I think yours is the first I have a heard of failing so dubious congratulationsflyfisher111 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:55 amSorry got distracted. I put old ecu back in a problems returned. Sure, and the radio antenna body grommet can crack and drown the antenna control unit in my Lexus LS400 because of water in the trunk and frizzle the left tailgate hinge wiring loom which takes out the differential speed sensor whose then shorted wiring blows up the traction control module and fries the transmission control ecu which blisters the timing roll-back capacitors in the engine management computer which takes out the knock sensors underneath the Worst Intake Manifold To Remove In The World, so you have to do the starter at the same time, $3,709.89. Replace your $3.59 antenna grommet ... today.tommu wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:53 amYes it can! The ECU on my 1996 Audi A4 TDI 110 had a MAP sensor built into the ECU which obviously failed and took the ECU with it. Great design.
