Might be Spring!

Post by drober23 » Wed Apr 01, 2015 5:37 pm

Spring has been late to rear its head here in Michigan, but it looks to finally be here.

Fired up the bus today. Started up right away. Felt good to drive it, if only for a few miles. I hope the rest of you cold weather bus folks have already had this day.

Here, we get to wrench in the freezing rain all frigid winter! Hooray hypothermia! It's hard to put your bus into mothballs but it must be done I know how it goes.
But as Don always says, "lots of heat in these tools" and he's right.

I've been out in the Vanagon a few times. I had to charge the battery, otherwise it ran great. Also my first test run with the new oil pressure sensors and related wire harness. I was getting a high rpm oil buzzer, but so far haven't had it yet.

The bus will have to wait until after tax-season.

I am supposed to do one more rust-check of the undercarriage, some inventory maintenance, and then leave this gorgeous 80* summery weather in Pensacola, and go rain and chill with you all come May. May your daytime highs be at least 65*.
