Hello. If I have soot build up on my tailpipe and smell gas in exhaust, what does that mean? I started noticing this recently. Leaky exhaust manifolds? Thank you "huffin' tuff". Kris

Leaking manifolds will not materially affect your fuel efficiency. Temp sensor II grounding can fake out the ECU into thinking it is always cold. . . it should be 2500 ohms at 68*, IIRC.
