I see.I put a 2000 cc gl porche pan handle motor in it and converted it to a 4 speed. the motor has less than 20 k and runs like a dream on top of the excellent fuel efficiency (30+ to the gallon)

He lost his privilege to drive. Probably speeding around in his "Porche."
There is a nice sage green westy at a used car lot in town for a low, low $12,995-we finance anyone.....
Heck, when you buy an bus with cash, you still end up making "monthly payments." A clutch here, some brakes there, oops the steering wheel fell off while I was in front of a cop, that'll cost me.....

Speaking of Craigslist buses, this is the engine from my $500 bus. I still consider the bus to be a great deal, even with this observation...

This may have been what caused the engine to seize when the flywheel was installed...doesn't look like it was rebuilt properly.

but will it need an align bore?

What year? I need one. Saw this on EvilBay today, funky monkey it is:VWBusrepairman wrote:I have an original oil bath breather if anyone is interested if someone really needs one for their bus/ ghia.dtrumbo wrote:and the original oil-bath air cleaner is worth at least half the asking price!
Funky double windows on the drivers side, then the passenger side:
Must have been a panel at one time, yes?
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
